Purpose and principles of using cookie files

“Cookie” files used on the website allow our Users to use the website securely and in the best possible way, above all.

What are “cookie” files

“Cookies” are small text files sent and stored on a computer, smartphone or other devices from which the User connects to the Internet. These files are helpful as they enable a website to identify the User’s device and be displayed appropriately. On the website, we use “cookie” files for many reasons, for example: to adjust our website to users’ preferences, facilitate navigation across pages and ensure the effectiveness of security procedures. Some of these functions are realized through other technological solutions. This is also why this policy concerning “cookie” files pertains both to typical “cookies” and other mechanisms serving this same purpose.

The following types of cookie files are used on the website:

  • “essential” cookie files, allowing use of the services available as part of the website, such as authenticating cookies used for services on the website requiring authentication;

  • cookie files sering to ensure security, such as those used to detect abuses in the scope of authentication on the site;

  • “performance” cookies enabling the collection of information about the way in which pages on the website are used;

  • “functional” cookies, enabling “remembering” of the User's selected settings and customizations of the User interface, e.g. in the scope of selected language, User's region, font size, web page appearance, etc.;

  • “advertising” cookies, enabling delivery to Users of advertising content better adjusted to their interests.

How “cookies” adjust websites to the User's needs

“Cookies” facilitate the process of adjusting the content of a website to Users’ expectations. Analytical “cookies” are used for the purpose of assessing statistics of visits to the website, because thanks to them, it is known what the preferences and ratings of Users are, which allows us to improve our websites.

Method of managing “cookies” by Users.

Most browsers in use, both on computers and smartphones, and on other devices, accept “cookies” by default. If a change of default settings is desired, this can be done by means of settings in the browser. In the case of problems with configuring changes, one should use the “Help” option in the menu of the browser being used.

We inform that many “cookies” allow for more convenient and effective use of our website.
